At Men’s Empowerment Enterprise Chicago (MEEC), we believe that every young person possesses untapped potential, waiting for the right spark to ignite a lifetime of achievement. Mentoring serves as the essential bridge that connects that inherent potential to purposeful, decisive action. By fostering deep-rooted trust and providing consistent, unwavering support, we help our youth navigate the complex challenges of today so they can emerge as the confident, capable leaders of tomorrow.
Our mentoring initiatives are specifically designed to create a direct, positive ripple effect throughout the Chicagoland community. We understand that success requires more than just ambition; it requires a foundation of stability and access to the right tools. To that end, MEEC provides the resources and secure environments necessary for young men to thrive, ensuring they have the expert guidance needed to reach their most ambitious personal and professional goals.
Beyond individual growth, our programs emphasize the importance of community responsibility and civic engagement. We believe that when a young man finds his footing, he has a duty to lift others as he climbs. Through our structured curriculum and group activities, we instill a sense of brotherhood and a commitment to service, teaching our participants that true leadership is defined by the positive impact one leaves on their neighborhood and peers.
As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, our mission is fueled by the belief that transformation is a collective effort involving mentors, families, and local partners. We are dedicated to breaking cycles of disadvantage by replacing them with cycles of opportunity and excellence. By investing in the character and competence of Chicago’s youth today, we are securing a brighter, more equitable future for the entire metropolitan area.
The 100 delivers mentoring training at our annual conferences and regional training workshops, which are open to the public. Both Collegiate 100 chapters and 100 Black Men chapters deliver unique mentoring initiatives that positively impact deserving youth annually. Strategic Mentor Training
To provide high-quality guidance, our mentors undergo rigorous training workshops. We focus on effective communication, emotional intelligence, and mentorship best practices. Upon completion of our training modules, mentors are equipped with the skills to lead with empathy and provide a measurable impact on their mentees' lives.

Mentee
Development
We collaborate with organizations and local stakeholders to broaden the horizons of our participants. These partnerships provide our youth with exposure to diverse career paths and professional environments, reinforcing the idea that their community is invested in their long-term success.

Community Volunteering
At MEEC, we believe that leadership is best expressed through service. Our community volunteering program connects our mentors and mentees with local initiatives across the Chicagoland area, allowing them to give back to the neighborhoods they call home. By participating in hands-on service projects, our young men learn the value of civic responsibility and the power of collective action.
